On a somewhat related note, in the local bookstore I found "The Frigate Surprise"(Lovery & Hunt), a lavishly illustrated coffee table book on Jack Aubrey's favorite command. Worth dropping $15 on, and can be had at Amazon.com for anywhere from $15 - $30.
I have a couple of books on Aubrey's ships, given to me for Christmas a couple of years ago as I recall. I don't much care for the Aubry books themselves, though; I haven't read anything that measures up to Hornblower.
