Snow?

Mom sent me an email asking if Virginia Beach is supposed to get snow again.

No. Virginia Beach is never supposed to get snow, ever.

The forecast, however, is that we're going to get it anyway, tonight and tomorrow, along with sleet, freezing rain, normal rain, ice pellets, and probably a couple of other types of precipitation.

Welcome to climate change (according to Beth). She says some years of 'more turbulent' weather patterns than normal are expected in the latest models before a 4-5 degree C temperature rise globally.

I could have teased you last week about our bare ground, but we got about 3 inches today and look to be about to get 12 over the next week. We also had -16 C (aka 3 F) or lower last night.
