Writing course

Diana has signed up for a college writing course; this implies that she'll be doing writing exercises, which implies that I'll be doing writing exercises. I'm already posting some on Ficton.

Good for you. I'm on holiday for a week, which really means: Working only part of the time for work, working some more of the time for Dad, getting my truck fixed, frantically trying to see a whole pile of friends at least briefly, and hoping to get a little bit of sleep somewhere in there.

That's what I call a holiday. Then back to work for one insane week before I'm off to Clinton, MI to see my cousin for a week.

This is more than a gently humorous statement to me. It's very interesting from the PoV of someone who doesn't have a partner in life. The fact that you're going to be doing the same thing your wife is doing either out of obligation, support or interest is just downright sweet to me. When I was with my boyfriend (um..er... ex-bf), he made a point of saying there was a distinction btwn what I might be interested in & what he might be interested in. We had the mildest of a strange argument regarding "shared" experiences. I said if I wanted to go for a drive in the country to see something nostalgic, I'd want him to go and so I cd share that with him. He said I shd just go b/c I wanted to go. I said it wdn't be as much fun w/o him and he said that was stupid. On the other hand, I did everything he wanted to do for abt 2 years. I was happy to blend into his agenda even tho it was not the other way around. If he'd been doing writing exercises, i'd've been sitting there with pen and paper at the ready. (I bet you're not the least bit pathetic about this though.)

Dang. I'm embarrassed and I don't have the power to edit. I do believe I've commented on four entries in a row now, sheesh. (Where is the plethora of all your other friends? They must be on summer vacations.) There's just pesky me and the faithful appropriate loyal Anonymous. For crying out loud, put something up that will leave me speechless. --I hate politics --try that, eh? (Of course, not knowing much about a subject hasn't always kept me quiet, but...I promise to hold back.)

There are several Anonymice, but they tend to comment on a batch of posts at once. I guess I need to post more.

I'm lazy so I don't login all the time, but I figure you can identify me by content and writing style.

So,I wonder if I'm just a vain attention-whore that I always log in with my name. I shall try to practice anonymity a few times.

I can normally figure out who said something, but it wouldn't hurt for my vast and growing readership to get to know each other.

Well, might not hurt.

Might not hurt much.

I'm amazed that, knowing me, you can actually say that to the others. Now THAT is a sales pitch!
