Josh and Diana and I were all in the living / dining room at sunset, which was lavender and ciel and azure and eggplant and so on. Diana gasped "Look at the sunset!! Look at the colors !! What color would you call that sky??"
Completely in sync, Josh and I looked at the sky, looked at each other, and said, "Blue."

There is an old joke about how you tell if a Gap salesman is gay (no judgments about that from me):
Ask him what colour a shirt is. If the answer is 'red' or 'black' or 'blue' then he's probably straight. If the answer is 'teal', 'aquamarine', 'salmon', 'cobalt', 'seafoam', 'midnight' or 'charcoal', he's probably not straight.
The assumption is men have a 3 bit colour palette (8 choices) and women and artists may well have an 8 or even 12 bit colour palette.
